Need a haircut

Yesterday, Daniel and I were sitting in the car, waiting for a stoplight. I was examining the tips of my hair thinking to myself, "These split ends are pretty bad, I probably need a haircut soon," And Daniel looks over and says, "Man those split-ends are REALLY bad!" This is coming from the man who cannot even see road signs until they hit him in the face! He is so blind and he saw from across the car how bad my ends were, so its DEFINITELY time to get it cut. I will probably trim it about 4 inches. I know...totally interesting...

We're buying a house!

Yeah, so I know I haven't posted anything in a while. Sorry about that. I have been really busy with preparations for my kids' concert on May 16th. I have also been house hunting and trying to get everything taken care of so we could get a house. And we found it! A great house at a great price with a great location! Its the best! So, yeah we got the paper signed last night and we will close on or before May 23rd. We are trying to get it done sooner rather than later though because the Whitlock's will be here soon and we would like to be out of our apartment soon. But there are some pretty complicated matters when buying a house, hopefully they will all be taken care of. We are SOOO excited. It does need a little changing up, especially the walls. (which will be removed and sheet rock will be put in their place, but here are some photos of it...

The entertainment center, formal dining table, and brand new kitchen appliances are all staying!
For some reason, it won't let me post any more pics, but that's okay, we will post more when we have made it even better. Its going to be fun!

I love Daniel!

Hey, I don't know if you knew this already, but I love Daniel. He's kind of AWESOME. And the cutest guy on the planet!!!! I know, I am pretty lucky! So yeah, this whole real cow thing Kelly is talking about...I have no idea where she got it from. She must be taking advantage of my pot garden! Which is doing wonderfully by the way. We have three BIG tomatoes and 5 more on the way! I hope I can keep it alive!

Yeah...I can't wait for school to get out. Everyday I take a little time to daydream about summer vacation. What a wonderful way to spend my time! Anyway, 4 more weeks for Daniel and 6 for me. Not bad!

New Music

I don't know if you guys ever listen to my playlist, but in case you do, I just wanted to let you know I am very excited. I have added a few new songs down at the bottom of it. There are all very good. I know you will get a kick out of them. Especially the Gummi Bears theme song!!! Gummi Bears was my FAVORITE show growing up...well that and Smurfs. I can't believe they had this song on there! Daniel will probably make me take it off after he hears it a couple of times and gets sick of it :D hehe..oh well I will have it for a little while.

In other news, Raul and Kelly were house hunting while we were in Alabama and that has lit the house hunting/buying fever in Daniel. He has been researching all these houses that he is interested in. So yesterday we put all the addresses he had found in our GPS and went driving. And I have to say most of them were pretty nice. We picked out three favorites. And he got me all excited about it, although I am VERY nervous about leaving the security blanket of renting. (I might be crazy, so what) So now I have to find an honest reliable realtor and get pre-approved for a loan BLUH! I guess this is all part of growing up. Bluh some more... It is a buyer's market now so we are very blessed in that regard. And if this is Heavenly Father's will I know everything will work out.

My oldest sister, Dawn started her own blog! That's good news. She is a pretty interesting character (If you know what I mean. tee hee) So if you want to check it out, her link is on the left side over there.

Totally pumped!

So, I am about to bust with excitement! There are so many things coming up, I don't know how my head is staying on straight! First of all, Crystal and Kevin are coming to visit in 35 days! My brother is coming home in two months and 11 days! My best friend's brother and his wife and son are all getting baptized this Sunday, and I have lost 10 pounds! Woohoo! How could anyone not be excited!? Now I just have 70 pounds to go! Ha. It sounds like a lot, but I am sure it will go quickly now that I am in gear!

I hope everyone got their taxes done! I must go now. Love you all!

P.S. Happy Birthday Sheena! Your pictures are super cute, and I hope you like your message from Kelly, Daniel, and I. (It was Kelly's idea, but we helped)

ALABAMA ROCKS!!

Daniel and I have returned from AL. And our trip there of course was amazing!!! I can't wait until we go there again! It will be a total blast! Especially since we will have a baby Whitlock there! Ha! Kelly and I were contemplating ways of stealing little Luke, but in the end decided it would be best for all parties just to let Crystal keep him. (Bummer, I know) We thought because she did all the work and is his only source of food she deserved him more than we did. Oh well...

So anyway, our time in AL was spent seeing the sites, looking at cute houses and eating at wonderful restaurants! We went to this really cool place with a long dock thing that we walked out on and got to see people fishing. No one was really catching anything great, but Raul really wanted to go fishing after that. So, then we went to eat at this seafood place. All of our dishes were GREAT! And I tried a raw oyster for the first time in my life...it really didn't have a flavor to me, just the texture of chewy snot! It was a very interesting experience, I may never eat a raw oyster again, but I'm glad I tried it.

We also went to this flea market that, to me, was HUMONGOUS! But Kelly said it pales in comparison to the ones in AZ. So, the next tome we are there, I will need to check out a flea market. (I wonder why they call it that anyway). But that was fun. We got to look at puppies. Some of which were SOOO sick and skinny it made me want to hurt some folks. Its okay though. They will get theirs when they are standing before the judgment bar of God! And we almost got some free puppies, but by the time we got to the place where they were being given away, they were all gone. It was fun, although most of the people there were really dirty.

We watched this really funny comedian guy. I can't remember his name, but it was so funny I almost couldn't breathe at some points. Tu Era Nina Is SOOO fat she is about to pop! We thought she might have been going into labor while we were there, which would have been SO cool. But she did not. We will just have to wait to see her puppies until we go down there in May.
Umm, lots of other stuff happened, but this post is getting kinda long so I am gonna cut it short. I hope everything is going well in y'all's lives! (I know GREAT grammar!) I will post pics later. So long for now;>

Blessings Blessings Blessings!!

This weekend was one of the most relaxing Daniel and I have had in a LONG time. It was nice to finally get to stay home for once and just talk and snuggle and all that fun stuff. Ahem...Okay so enough with the mushy stuff. Conference was AMAZING! I really enjoyed all the sessions! Technology is really amazing! You can actually watch it on the internet as its happening. And then if you happened to miss a session, you can go back and watch whichever one you want! Except the Priesthood session of course. Man, I just LOVE conference. Everytime I get that feeling of being reproved and that I need to be better, but its always accompanied by a feeling of peace and encouragement that I CAN do it! Elder Nelson's talk on Saturday was one of my favorites! We really are all responsible individually for our own exaltation! Man, I really need some work! I also liked how he said, "The home is to be God's laboratory of love and service". I thought it was just cute at first, but after I thought about it a little, I understood that a laboratory is a place where you labor. And another word for labor is work. And what is God's work? To bring to pass the immortality AND eternal life of man. So, in that cute and short sentence, Elder Nelson said, The home is supposed to be a place where God can work with love and service to bring to pass our eternal life! Oh man, my home needs work too! I don't know if our home is a place where God can actually dwell. There seems to always be laundry, or dishes, or clutter somewhere that I can't get rid of. Not to mention, sometimes I am not the nicest person to my wonderful husband. But I will work very hard to make my home a place where God can do His work, and I will try to be an instrument for Him. (Hopefully in the process, I will become a better wife, and be more prepared to be a loving mother!)

And now, I have to tell y'all a story. One time, there was a woman named Dawn. She had three beautiful daughters. They had a happy life, but the girls were all stuck in a tiny bedroom with no dresser. Their mother did not know what to do. She wanted her girl's to have a place to put their clothes, but could not afford to by them anything. This woman believed in God, and had a strong testimony of the power of prayer, so she decided to take her troubles to the Lord. She asked Him to supply her with either a dresser for her children, or the means necessary to purchase one. A few days later it was trash day in her neighborhood, as she was passing by someone's yard, she noticed there was a very nice dresser set at the end of their driveway ready to be taken by the trash man. She could not believe someone would throw something like that away, but then she remembered her prayer. She knew this was a blessing from Heavenly Father for her and her family. So she got out and loaded up her car with the items and brought them home. They fit perfectly in the room and helped everything to be more organized. Dawn was grateful for Heavenly Father's unconditional love and that she had recieved an answer to her prayer.

You would think the story was over, but there is more...This woman had a younger sister. Her name was Jessica. Jessica visited her family quite a bit. She had a great love and admiration for allof her family, and when she was not being proud, she usually learned great things from them. On one of her visits, Jessica saw this dresser set and inquired how Dawn was able to come by it. Dawn told her little sister it was a blessing from Heavenly Father after she prayed mightily for a miracle. Jessica thought this was a nice idea, and thought she might give it a try sometime. But as soon as she returned home, she forgot about that miracle and went about her normal life as if nothing happened. One day, Jessica was trying to shove both her and her husband's clothes into thier old little dresser. They had used only this dresser since they had been married and it NEVER held all the clothes it needed to. She was VERY frustrated as she looked at the drawers. Some were half-way open because they were too full to close while others had clothes hanging out all over the place. She wondered what she could possibly do to fix the situation. Then Suddenly...she remembered her sister (she must have been in tune with the spirit from watching conference)! And she knew that if God could do it for her sister, He could do it for her. Jessica prayed to Heavenly Father that he would bless her and her husband to find an affordable dresser that they would be able to use to organize their home and keep things cleaner. Although she knew God answers prayers, she also understood that sometimes it takes time. And she was content to wait. That evening, after finishing up the dishes, she really wanted to take the trash out. (She had made chicken for dinner and knew it would stink up the house by morning) So, she put on her flip-flops and asked her wonderful husband, Daniel to accompany her to the dumpster. They enjoyed their walk. It was a beautiful evening and when they got there, Jessica flung the trash bag over the side of the giant dumpster. As she was doing that, Daniel discovered a treasure! Guess what it was, yes a dresser! It was beautiful! In GREAT condition! And it was just the right size! Jessica wondered how God could be so gracious! But wait there's more. When Jessica and Daniel were looking at this treasure, it looked pretty easy to carry, but it was A LOT heavier than it looked. So, because Jessica was having a hard time carrying it, they had to make frequent stops. They were in the midst of one of these stops when a nice young man offered to help. They accepted and the man helped Daniel carry the dresser all the way to their home. Once they got there, Daniel and Jessica learned the name of their helper. His name was Mark. And an idea popped into Jessica's head. (Probably because the missionaries were ALWAYS bugging Daniel and Jessica about missionary work) She thought, "This man helped us with our treasure, now we need to show him treasure without price." Yes, she knew this was all Heavenly Father's plan to begin with. Nothing is a coincidence. Mark was put there for a purpose. Just as someone threw away their perfectly wonderful dresser for a purpose, and just as Jessica wanted to throw the trash away late at night for a purpose. Jessica thinks to try to teach Mark and his family the gospel of Jesus Christ would be a great way to try to repay her Heavenly Father for His great and swift blessings. She will bring them cookies this week! I will include pics of the dresser later!

P.S. I have decided to not post pictures of myself and surprise everyone in AZ with my gorgeous self! Haha just kidding...and I can't wait for this weekend! We are going to visit the Alabama Curiel's! Superfun! (Can't wait to see the sexy slim Mrs. Curiel! She's awesome)
P.S.S. Happy Birthday to Kelly!!

Can't think of a title...

Its amazing how you can love someone so much without even meeting! I just love precious little Luke! I go to Kevin and Crystal's blog EVERYDAY just to look at his beautiful little face! This is my FAVORITE picture on there. Look at that sweet little baby and his chubby cheeks with his beautiful mommy! I just love it!

My second favorite picture is the one of him and his daddy, with Kevin smiling. I can just picture the day little Luke will be blessed and Kevin will be holding him and smiling, just like this picture!

By the way, when will he be blessed? Do you have to wait for him to be older, or paperwork or something? I don't know how any of that works.

Things are also going well on the weight-loss front. It has been one week today since I went to the baby doctor and I have officially lost six pounds! Although they say the first 10 pounds are water-weight, I am still very happy. The doctor wanted me to lose 25 pounds in 3 months, so that means 8 1/3 pounds per month. But my goal is 30 just to make it an even 10 pounds per month and I am more than half-way there for this month! I am thinking about posting pictures of myself during this process, so everyone can join in with my progress, but I just hate taking pictures of anything below the face. What do y'all think?
